Current WIP: BFF Socks, by Cookie A.

Yarn: Mary Maxim Aloe Sock Yarn in Oasis

Needles: US#1

The past few weeks have been hectic, to say the least.  Dead Marches II, followed by a test and a full week of class, followed by an adventure to a wedding with Cross then a trip home to visit the family, before returning to T-town and another test.  It’s Wednesday and the first day since well before Dead Marches that I’ve had some time to myself.  So today will be spent getting my house back into order and otherwise languishing about.  I have a great deal of cleaning and laundry to do that has been put off for far too long, as well as some personal projects that went by the wayside in the craziness leading up to Dead Marches.  I’m glad to have some time to wind down, spend some time with myself, and in general think things over.  A lot has changed in my life in the past few months and all of it has been for the better, and it’s nice to have time to take a breath, appreciate it, and be thankful.

Cards Against Humanity is a party game for horrible people.
Unlike most of the party games you’ve played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.
The game is simple. Each round, one player asks a question from a Black Card, and everyone else answers with their funniest White Card.
And it is distributed under a Creative Commons license, meaning it is not only free to play, but remixing, and changing the game are more than just encouraged.
The official hard copy has been sold out for a while now, but a PDF of all the cards, and instructions distributed by the creators for making your own deck can be found here.
You’re welcome, and enjoy!
#omg it’s like angsty apples to apples

NO NO NO OKAY THIS GAME IS ACTUALLY THE BEST REAL TALK

Jake got this a while ago, and it is fantastic.

I am buying this as soon as it’s in stock.

yes, good

This is essentially how we would play apples to apples anyways, with Hellen Keller, pond scum, and Hitler being trump cards. I should get these.

This is how I spent BashCon.   explosivemarbles:

"

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

One of hundreds of shirts part of The Clothesline Project. You can read about the project here. If you have a flickr, I would love for you to comment and share your thoughts. As a friend of multiple survivors, as a supporter, and as a goddamn human being, I can’t even begin to express how hard it was to see so many shirts lined up along my school’s front walk. That on a campus, even as small as ours, where so many have been touched by sexual violence.. it’s overwhelming.
